Dogs, just like children are reliant on their people to teach them proper etiquette and behavior so they are good citizens.  We are here to teach you to learn effective communication with your canine companions that builds their confidence and cultivates trust by using proven techniques.  From puppies that need to learn the basics, to more challenging issues we can devise a well-rounded plan that supports your goals and that will allow your furry friend to maximize their potential.

Effective training improves your family’s relationship with your dog by building trust and helping them learn acceptable behaviors.  We tap into a dog’s innate desire to please and their need to find their place in your family to help cultivate well-rounded canine that can safely and reliably join their family for all kinds of fun- an outing to a farmer’s market, hiking with friends, social gatherings, or just hanging out in the backyard.  A solid training program helps create a well-rounded companion and will also help minimize stress in uncertainty by teaching your dog to look to you for guidance and support.  Vet visits or trips to the groomer become less hectic when your pup has the confidence to navigate the excitement and stress in a positive way.

Our training programs, just like our pet care services are completely customized to meet your dog’s unique needs and lifestyle! While we primarily focus on positive reinforcement to obtain results, we have experience with a variety of methodologies and breakdown the stigma associated with certain tools and teach you how to use them appropriately to help you and your dog succeed. Any tool, including food and toys, can be misused and result in negative outcomes- we work to educate and empower your pack to avoid common mistakes so that your dog can be the best version of themselves.

Each training series is tailored to prioritize your training goals and your dog’s wellbeing.  We start by providing you with our questionnaire that not only clarifies your goals, but provides vital information about your dog’s behavior, your household, and family to set you and your pup up for success! From there, we schedule a consultation (required for all series except the “puppy series”) to assess your pet and discuss realistic goals and series options that would be appropriate for your dog(s).  If you proceed to book a series, your consultation will be discounted by 5-10% depending on the series you select.  If you chose to forego signing up for a series, you will be billed in full for the consultation.  If WE opt to decline to book a training series following a consultation for any reason other than canine aggression, you will not be billed for the consultation.

All of our training series is offered at your home or in an agreed-upon location (parks, dog-friendly venues, etc) to address a specific issue/concerns. Some series are appropriate for sibling and/or “buddy” pets.  Buddy Pets are pets that do not live in the same household, but that spend a lot of time together and get along well.  To be eligible for the buddy program, all pets must be evaluated individually and together to ensure this is a viable option to obtain the results you’d like.  An added benefit to the buddy program is that you will be able to split the cost of the series with your dog’s buddy.

Upon completion of any series, you’ll be able to take advantage of our Ala Carte Services so long as you schedule within 3 months of your final session and your dog satisfies any age requirements.

We do NOT work with aggression issues/aggressive pets.  If we arrive at the consultation and the pet is aggressive (if you need us to clarify the difference between aggression and reactive, please ask- we want to set you up for a successful experience) we will decline to schedule a series & you will be billed in full for the consultation.  If WE decline to sign you up for a series for any reason outside of aggression, you will be not be billed for the consultation.

*Please note we will not schedule a consultation/new puppy series without completion of our questionnaire.
